Subsidized Therapeutic Services

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is provided to low-income individuals needing therapy in the areas of trauma, sexual abuse, cancer, personality disorders, mood disorders, divorce, family and relationship issues, and other challenges. The Maitri Project (TMP) subsidizes this therapy, so the therapists who are registered with TMP will accept a pre-qualified co-pay from the client and then invoice The Maitri Project for the balance due.

Couples Therapy

Couples therapy is provided to low-income individuals needing therapy in the areas of divorce, family and relationship issues and other challenges facing couples. Couples therapy is more time sensitive, due to the crisis work that many couples come to therapy to resolve. As a result, The Maitri Project subsidizes result-oriented couples therapy rather than long-term psychological exploration oriented couples therapy. The therapists who are registered with The Maitri Project will accept a co-pay from the qualified recipient and invoice TMP for the balance due.

Group Therapy

Group therapy or Process Groups are populated by a mixture of Maitri Project recipients and non-Maitri Project participants that have the means to afford the Group Therapy. There are approximately 6-7 people in a group. Group therapy addresses relational issues, gender issues, sexual abuse engendered issues, marital issues and many other issues in a Group setting. The Group requires a 6 month commitment (signed contract), meeting 2 hours per week, allowing participants the opportunity to track their own relational patterns, explore new relational patterns, observing the patterns of other group members and working towards transforming their relational skills. The therapists who are registered with The Maitri Project will accept a co-pay from the qualified recipients in each group and then TMP will be invoiced for the balance due.

Organizational Process Groups

The Organizational Process Groups are specifically designed to meet the needs of Boulder County Non-Profit organizations that need staff support in the following areas:

naming current issues facing the organization as a whole the individual departments and staff

connecting with important resources of the organization that have been overridden by a crisis mentality

naming and resolving communication and in-fighting issues between staff and Administration and between different departments (primarily due to less than adequate communication systems and competition for seemingly scarce resources)

creating a different perspective and the action steps necessary to move the organization into the future.
